Stock Photo - Abu Simbel is an archaeological site comprising two massive rock temples.The UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Nubian Monuments were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC,creating the temples of Ramses and Hathor. These vast monuments were moved when the Aswan dam and Lake Nasser were constructed in the 1960s.
