Stock Photo - Cloister of the abbey of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert in the Gellone valley (30 kilometers northwest of Montpellier) founded by Guilhem in the late 8th century. Guilhem was the grandson of Charles Martel, the Duke of Aquitane, and one of the Emperor Charlemagne´s chosen knights. This Abbey is located in the so-called ""Via Tolosana,"" one of the ways of pilgrimage to Compostela, Spain.
