Biography

I am a freelance photographer based in the Republic of Ireland. I specialise in wildlife and nature photography. I use Canon digital and film cameras along with Canon prime lenses to ensure maximum image quality. I'm continually fascinated by the nuances and complexities of the natural world.

Any special artistic influences?

My most major influence is the Natural world itself, mainly because eco-systems and the evolutionary processes that shape them are constantly in flux. I am also a fan of photographers like Frans Lanting, Ansel Adams, Joe Cornish etc.

What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?

Always use prime lenses, avoid using zoom lenses if possible. And always use a tripod where possible.

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?

Before becoming a photographer 10 years ago, i was a small scale dairy farmer, so i would probably be a farmer.
