Biografía

I work for the USDA Forest Service - the Tongass National Forest. I have a degree in Wildlife Biology from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry. My passions are flying and photography and any opportunity to combine the two is icing on the cake.

Any special artistic influences?
Early on I was struck by the beauty of Ansel Adams' black and white landscapes. Another early influence - seeing his images in Audubon Magazine - Larry West.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
Get the best lenses that you can afford and use a tripod (that was in the days of Fuji 50)
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
A commercial fisherman in Alaska.
