Biografía

Trained as painter in Paris with Henri Goetz.
Switched to photography at suggestion of newspaper editor in New York, worked with NY Times as stringer.
Worked illustrating textbooks with Monkmeyer Press Photo Svc in NY, now defunct, and several others now all gone.
Lived in Santa Fe,New Mexico 1977-1998, moved to Hawai'i, returned to Santa Fe, New Mexico July 2015.
Speak Spanish, Italian, French passably, studied Burmese and Hawai'ian.

Association with mentors Eugene Smith and George Zimbel.

What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?

"If you see something you want to photograph and don't have a camera with you, wink at it and think about why,"
