Biographie

I am a freelance stock photographer working in southern England. I have a special interest in music photography (especially jazz) and in street photography, but I am constantly seeking new images, and new interests within all the photographic genres. My work has been exhibited widely in America and Europe, and has been published worldwide, including my National Geographic.

Any special artistic influences?
I am particularly influenced by the masters of European street photography such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau and Willy Ronis. My colour work is influenced by Ernst Has and Jay Maisel.<br />
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
Do not only look, but also see - there is a world of difference!
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
I have been photographing for 50+ years - I have no concept of a life without creating images.
