My photography career started in Israel in 1975, in 1989 I moved back to the US and became a National Geographic contract photographer in 1991. Over the past 35 years I have been the principal or main photographer of over 40 Insight Travel Guides and large format gift book. My work has been published in the world's leading travel magazine and books, including National Geographic Traveler, Conde Nast Traveler, Time, Life, German and french Geo.
Any special artistic influences?
I was influenced by Peter Turner, Eric Meola, Edward Stiechen, Henry Cartier- Bresson.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
When you walk into a room notice the direction the ambient light and try to work with instead of fight it.
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
Taking pictures has always been so much fun, still is today!!!
