 Barcelona, December 2008 THP Photo Services , the technological hosting platform created and managed by age fotostock, the renowned stock photo agency based in Barcelona, has announced the incorporation of two new members to the platform: Denkou Images of Germany and Casa da Imagem of Portugal. Casa da Imagem has been in business for over 20 years in the Portuguese market, and has recently redesigned their website, now powered by THP technology, in order to offer clients a faster, easier, richer and much more intuitive tool to meet their image needs. Casa da Imagem is considering implementing in 2009 the advanced e-commerce tools provided by the THP platform, which in addition to the storage, content management and reporting capabilities for the agency, also provides online payment functionality, immediate high-res download, and many other advantages for end users. Teresa Alonso, Director of International Sales at age fotostock, comments "Casa da Imagem has been in business for a long time and has been distributing our own collections, age fotostock and pixtal, in Portugal for more than 14 years. We are very satisfied that the agency has decided to the adopt the THP technology and take advantage of all the features and benefits available to them”. In addition to this legendary Portuguese agency making a change to the new technology, the newly created agency Denkou Images has also fully implemented the technology offered by THP Photo Services recently. Denkou Images focuses on Royalty Free images. As noted by Joachim Koutzky, one of the owners of Denkou Images, they have selected “what we believe to be the best picture brands from all the royalty free collections available worldwide and the THP provides a tool which allows us to concentrate on what's essential.” Teresa Alonso´s comments on Denkou’s joining the THP platform are: “ We are glad to welcome Denkou Images to the THP community. By embracing the THP technology, Joachim Koutzky and his team will profit from all of the technical aspects related to image hosting, search engine, and content management that the THP offers to all its members, helping them save time, cost, and efforts, and allowing them to focus on marketing and selling their images in a market with great potential” Denkou Images and Casa da Imagem both distribute age fotostock´s own collections. Casa da Imagem distributes age fotostock (Rights Managed) and pixtal (Royalty Free), while Denkou, given their specialization in Royalty Free, focuses on distributing pixtal. Further comments from Teresa regarding the distribution of the age fotostock collections are: ”Both age fotostock and pixtal are extremely large, versatile, and diverse collections, therefore they work well globally. However, thanks to cultural and economic reasons, Europe is the geographic region where these collections are performing better. Therefore we are glad to be opening new avenues in the European terrain”. With the addition of Denkou Images and Casa da Imagem, age fotostock continues to grow the European network of distributors to maximize sales opportunities for its own collections and for the other 333 image producers and providers. Today there are 59 image distributing agencies in the THP newtwork and in 2008 six new agencies have been added (Denkou Images from Germany, Casa da Imagem, from Portugal, StockXchange from Singapore, Kuvaporssi from Finland, Flystock from Bulgaria and Premium from Germany). |

Denkou Images is a newly created stock photo agency. It is based in Hamburg and it focuses on the distribution of high end Royalty Free imagery to cater to the advertising industry in Germany. Denkou Images has been founded as a production company by Anton Dentler and Joachim Koutzky in 2006, but just started to distribute other Royalty Free brands. |
