And Black is back. Black certainly has a strong presence in contrast, drama, and suggestion of the unknown. Historically it has always been a symbol of power, magic and secrecy, but more recently experienced a coming-out by painting the large cities of Europe and America dark with coal smoke during the industrial revolution. 100 years later, thanks to a breakthrough in the production of synthetic dyes, fashion designers raised black to a new level by creating the clothing staple, the little black dress. We agree with Versace: "Black is the quintessence of simplicity and elegance." |

Ever since he first picked up a camera as a child, Jesús Sierra holds his breath when he takes a photo, using this moment to focus his mind and concentrate on the scene. Perhaps this is why his images have a such a suspended quality, as personal, surreal and hypnotic as if emerging from the subconscious. Enjoy his work - it will leave you breathless. |

| The night outside is heavy pitch black, the cold is creeping in through the cracks in the windows, the wind is howling at the door like a banshee lost in the swamps. What’s that? Something has come knocking at the door…. On the 31st of October, night of Halloween or All Hallows' Eve, people across the world face their fears of the unexpected and supernatural by carrying on the ancient traditions of the souls who lived before them. Sing songs for your dead, give mischievous neighborhood ghouls candy, tremor with films of zombie apocalypse or waltz with the devil at midnight, and for a sneaky warm-up, come freeze in terror at this delightfully wicked selection. |
