Stock Video - TILT up, CU, exterior, daylight. The construction of the church began in 1220, and it was consecrated in 1258, with the Chapter House and Cloisters completed in 1266. It was built almost entirely in one architectural style _ Early English Gothic. The Cathedral has been part of the autonomous Church of England since 1534. On the west front there are several surviving 13th century statues, although most are Victorian 19th century, with some recent additions, including that of the 17th century poet, priest and hymn_writer George Herbert installed in 2003.
