Stock Photo - 12 September 2018, Thuringia, Weimar: The sculpture of the Buchenwald prisoners by Fritz Cremer (1906-1993) can be seen in front of the bell tower. 60 years after the inauguration of the Buchenwald memorial not far from the former Nazi concentration camp near Weimar, the securing work on the plant has been completed. According to the Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora Memorials Foundation, around 2.7 million euros have been invested in the preservation of the building substance from federal and state funds since 2010. According to the foundation, the memorial is the largest in memory of Nazi crimes in Europe. It was inaugurated on 14 September 1958.
