Stock Photo - 04 June 2019, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Greifswald: Guests watch Greifswald celebrate the topping-out ceremony of the new building of the city archive. Eleven months after the laying of the foundation stone, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated on the same day. The four-storey building therefore has a floor area of around 400 square metres. A large reading room is to be built on the ground floor, which will also allow a larger event area via movable walls. Total costs rose to around 8 million euros. The state is contributing 3.67 million euros from urban development funds. The Pomeranian Archive Centre will also be located here, with the Pomeranian State Archive and possibly the Regional Church Archive.
