Stock Photo - 29 October 2019, Thuringia, Eisenberg: A patient trains walking on a corridor in the hospital Waldkliniken Eisenberg with the help of a robot. In a three-year research project, the use of robots for gait training with patients after hip surgery was developed and tested. The robot works autonomously and detects incorrect postures in the patient's gait, corrects them and praises progress. The study found that patients who train together with the robot can walk again more quickly than those who train alone. According to the participants, the project is unique in medical robotics research, both nationally and internationally. Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Eisenberg/Thuringia/Germany
