It was built by order of Frederick II in the years 1780-1785 by Carl von Gontard in the baroque style. Burned out in the Second World War, the German Cathedral was rebuilt in 1983-1996, true to the original outside and modern inside. Since then it has been home to the exhibition on the history of parliament of the German Bundestag. Photo: Paul Zinken/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Berlin/Berlin/Germany
