Stock Photo - 23 May 2020, Brandenburg, Altranft: Reinier Scheers, carpenter and designer of the model, is standing at his marble run in the Oderbruch Museum Altranft. Reinier Scheers' task was to make the flow system of the Oderbruch sensually experienceable with glass marbles. The result is a unique marble run of a region in East Brandenburg. The marble run is not powered by electrical energy. Only mechanics and gravity drive this new highlight of the museum. And anyone who knows the museum knows that everything can or should be touched here: learning by playing, learning by touch is the program there. The bluish and greenish shimmering balls that roll across the approximately twelve square metre surface fascinate not only children, but adults too. Because what sounds like a children's toy is a complex system of slopes and levels, channels and obstacles: modeled on the topography of the Oderbruch.
