The ""Castle Colditz"" is internationally famous: During the Second World War, the prisoner of war camp for officers ""Oflag IV-C"" was located here. The spectacular and sometimes successful escape attempts of the inmates have long become legends. More than 10,000 British people visit the museum at Colditz Castle every year.
