Stock Photo - 04 August 2020, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Broderstorf: Farmers Monika and Herwig Elgeti are working on their farm in Broderstorf on the white cabbage harvest. With four hectares, the Elgetis are the largest growers of red and white cabbage in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. At the moment only what the customer orders is harvested. Six days a week, from the end of July to mid-November, the Elgetis are in the field every day for the harvest. Customers include a large food market near Rostock and the headquarters of a food chain that supplies markets throughout Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, northern Brandenburg and parts of Schleswig-Holstein.
