Stock Photo - 01 October 2020, Saxony, Wermsdorf: Cora Lechner prepares organic hay for her animals in her bison enclosure with her life partner Johannes Boos at a storage place. At the beginning of the year, the young woman took over a herd of 60 bison, which her father founded in 2003. Together with her life partner Johannes Boos, she looks after the breeding and ecological keeping of the wild cattle, which is widespread in North America. They find fresh pasture grass on 40 hectares and get organic hay as supplementary feed. The meat of the herbivores, which can weigh up to 900 kilograms, is sold in her farm shop as fresh meat and bison sausage specialities.
