Stock Photo - Tourists ride camels in the Timanfaya National Park on the Canary Island Lanzarote, Spain, 09 October 2015. The Timanfaya National Park is in the southwestern part of the island and encompasses an area of 51.07 square kilometres. The landscape obtained its bizarre shape during the enormous volcanic eruptions between 1730 and 1736. Eight million cubic meters of lava destroyed small villages and farmhouses. Round trips are only possible with the bus as the area can not be explored by foot. Photo: Peter Zimmermann - NO WIRE SERVICE - | usage worldwide. - Lanzarote/Spain
