The collection of bell-ringings comprises the sound of numerous churches around the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, including the bell of Muenster cathedral. Since the late 1940s, the WDR radio station has been traditional broadcasting the sound of church bells for church services taking place on sundays and religious holidays.
