Stock Photo - Lamayuru monastery is one of the oldest monasterys in Ladakh. The area of the Valley of the Moon near Lamayuru in Ladkh, India was a former lake. After this place was flooded , huge sandstone pillars where remaining.Through wind and rain shaped like chimneys gave it ´s place the name.
