Stock Photo - Dark Green Fritillary, Argynnis aglaja. A large checquered orange and black buttefly with olive green patches on the underwing with mother of pearl markings. Found in limestone grasslands. Larval host plants are Viola tricolor, Viola palustra, Viola hirta, Viola canina and Viola riviniana and Polygonum bistorta. Found with other fritillaries in rocky areas with nutrient-poor grasslands in ravines. Flight: June-September.
