Stock Photo - Santa Casa or the Loreto, Loretto, was established by Katherina Lobkowicz after the Battle of White Mountin in 1626_1627 under Ferdinand II program of strict Catholic enforcement. The Loreto incorporated the earlier Capuchin chapel, but was modeled after the Santa Casa in Loreto Italy. The Loretto is a composite of earlier buildings reconstructed in Baroque with the Holy Nativity or Holy Stable in the center of courtyard. The Loreto contains the Treasury. The primary architect is Giovanni B Orsi. Other architects are Andrea Alio and Silvestro Carlone. Kilian Ignaz Dietzenhofer replaced the central chapel with a caroque church. The front wall and cloisters were built by Christoph Dietzenhofer and the statuary on roof by his son, Kilian. The carillion of 27 bells in Bell Tower was created by the clockmaker Peter Naumann whch was installed in 1694 with mechanical device so it could be played from remote control The image of facade was taken on bright winter day with lapis sky.
