In this factory work everyday a woman earn almost USD $1 (BD Taka 75) after working 10 hour. Most of the chilli comes from the char island and this the main income source in this area people. Every year people fight with river erosion and flood in this area. The chars islands made of river silt - are strange land formations that inhabit the space between land and water. Every year in Bangladesh new chars arise out of the river´s changing course and as they appear, old ones are returned to the water, swallowed by the river as though it is collecting on an old debt.
