Stock Photo - The Arial Beel (water body) of Munshiganj is famous for producing special kind of big-sized of sweet pumpkins; the local growers are making a huge profit. Those pumpkins is cultivated and produced in Arial Beel in every year. Each of the pumpkin which is size of around 40 kilograms to 120 kg, the growers sell each of the big pumpkin at Tk 3,000 to 6,000. The pumpkins are sent to Karwan Bazar and shaympur Bazar of capital Dhaka on trucks or Local boats. Mainly The largest sweet pumpkin was cultivated on 527 hectares of land here on this year, and of those, 260 ha were cultivated in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj. Only three month the pumpkins are generally produced from February till April of the year.
