Stock Photo - The Carquinez Bridge is actually two bridges. They cross the Carquinez Strait at the northeast end of San Francisco Bay. The new suspension bridge (left) carries westbound vehicular traffic across the Carquinez Strait as well as bicycles and pedestrians on a bicycle and pedestrian pathway. The older cantilever bridge carries eastbound traffic.
