Stock Photo - Feb. 28, 1953 - St. Paul Choir to tour United States: Dr. Matthews, Dean of St. Paul's has accepted on behalf of the cathedral choir an invitation for it to tour the United States in October and November. The invitation has come from a committee of which Mr. Owen J. Roberts, formerly Chief Justice of the Federal Courts, is chairman. It was made as a 'gesture of gratitude' for the Roll of Honour and memorial chapel in St, Paul's to the 28,000 United States Service men and women stationed in Britain who died in the war.
