She is 225 feet long and has a squat streamlined conning tower. She is unarmed and uses high test paroxide in her propulsion engines - and is said to have reached a speed of 25 knots under water. A German experimental team- led by professor Helmut Walt-er Collaborated with British Designers when the Vessel was under construction.
