Stock Photo - Apr. 04, 1958 - Doctor Honored On Sick Bed: Doctor the Reverend Cyril Augustus Wallace, who for the last 15 years has worked among Tanganyika's lepers as a Government medical officer, has been honored by Queen Elizabeth for his work. He has been made a Member of the British Empire and had the award bestowed upon him by the trusteeship's Governor, Sir Edward Twining, with the words, 'Thank you for saving a thousand lives'.
