Stock Photo - Dec. 08, 1958 - Demonstration at Rocket Site: Sixteen of the 'Ben the H-Bomb' fanatics who got into the Thor rocket base near Swaffham, Norfolk on Saturday, did it again yesterday. They climbed the barbed wire by laying their banners on it. Then they swarmed over the giant cement mixer to hinder workmen due to start in 40 minutes. But extra airmen reinforcing the guard on the site dragged them off to a hut near the main gate. The demonstrators were freed after half-an-hour in the hut. Outside, the demonstrators laid in front of the gate whenever a truck approached. Twelve tiles, RAF police had to drag the mud-covered figures back into the temporary guard room till the gates could be closed again.
