Stock Photo - 01 September 2020, Hessen, Frankfurt/Main: Mathias Düsterdick, Chairman of the Board of Gerchgroup AG Düsseldorf, is behind the winning design of the Frankfurt architects' office ""Meixner Schlüter Wendt Architekten"" in presenting the results of the competition for the future use of the old police headquarters. On the site of the old police headquarters in Frankfurt, an ensemble of buildings is to be created from a new building with a high-rise and the listed stock. The project developer Gerchgroup bought the property, which has been vacant since 2002, from the State of Hesse in March 2018 for around 212.5 million euros. The area near the main railway station and the trade fair covers 15.4 hectares. The future building is to house offices, a hotel and privately financed and subsidized apartments, among other things.
