Stock Photo - 05 December 2021, Saxony, Borsdorf: Denny Pfaff (l) and his son Felix are repairing the chipped paint on the carol singers that decorate the Pfaff families' front garden with new water-based paint. The singers, which are up to 1.20 metres tall, were made by forester Manfred Pfaff over 10 years ago with a chainsaw from Weimut pine. They delight the people of the Saxon community of Wermsdorf and passing motorists every year until 6 January. The wooden carolers belong to about 50 hand-sawn figures, mushrooms, flower benches and seating arrangements that the hobby chainsaw artist has made.
