Stock Photo - 05 July 2022, Saxony, Mörtitz Bei Eilenburg: In the blueberry garden of Sandra Lorenz in the small village of Mörtitz near Eilenburg (North Saxony), which many visitors have been using for a few days to pick their own blueberries, hangs a blueberry cluster. Since its founding in 2011, the former orthopedist has planted 1,500 blueberry bushes on about 2,500 square meters of garden space together with her family and created a blueberry garden from a free garden space at her three-sided farm. In the coming weeks, the ever-ripening blueberries, also known as vitamin-rich health wonders, will continue to be harvested by self-pickers and processed by Sandra Lorenz and her family into liqueur, fruit spread and syrup, among other things.
