Stock Photo - 07 June 2022, Saxony-Anhalt, Halberstadt: An employee of the Cathedral Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt views the 14 medieval sculptures through virtual glasses. Visitors and guests can experience the experience on 27 and 28 June during a visit to the cathedral. Fourteen stone sculptures of the cathedral have been the focus of an emergency conservation measure since 2017. The figures of the twelve apostles and the two dompatrons Stephen and Sixtus, created between 1425 and 1475, are part of the original medieval furnishings in the cathedral's High Choir. Under the umbrella of the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation and funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation, several partners worked to save the medieval color versions of the medieval sculptures in the Cathedral of St. Sixtus and St. Stephen.
