The employees of the Transport Association of Central Saxony (VMS) are preparing the system for the winter months. For this purpose, operation has been suspended since Monday. Until Friday (11.11.2022), among other things, the roller boxes will be cleaned of leaves, the doors of the two cars will be adjusted for winter operation, and the controls and brakes will be checked. From Saturday, passengers will then be able to board again and travel by train along the 1237-meter route from Erdmannsdorf station to Augustusburg hunting lodge, which is one of the most prominent landmarks and tourist centers in the Ore Mountains.
