Stock Photo - 20 April 2020, Brandenburg, Petersdorf: The starry sky shines in the night over an avenue. Mostly starry skies allow an unobstructed view of the shooting stars of the Lyrides in the coming night. The earth crosses the tail of a comet. This was discovered in 1861 in the solar system. Every year around 21, 22, 23 April, the Earth crosses the rest of this comet's tail. As it does so, dust particles enter the Earth's atmosphere. These particles burn up on impact and shooting stars become visible. Photo: Patrick Pleul/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa. - Petersdorf/Brandenburg/Germany
