Stock Photo - 22 July 2021, Brandenburg, Kleinmachnow: The remains of the cemetery railway bridge on the bank of the Teltow Canal, demolished in November 2018. The bridge had been built in 1913 by the Evangelical Regional Church in order to be able to transport both visitors to the Stahnsdorf Southwest Cemetery and deceased persons by rail from Berlin-Wannsee without detours. The Teltow Canal runs for about 38 kilometers through Brandenburg and Berlin and is an important Berlin southern bypass for commercial shipping and a popular destination for campers, boat tourists and also hikers. At Dreilinden, for example, there are more or less narrow paths for pedestrians close to the canal bank up to Machnower See.
