The new steam locomotive workshop of the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) is taking shape. The topping-out ceremony for the largest construction project in the history of the HSB was celebrated on Thursday. According to the company, it is investing 14.5 million euros. The aim is to be able to offer faster and cheaper maintenance for the steam locomotives in the new glass workshop. The construction should be finished next spring. Starting in 2022, the first of the locomotives built between 1897 and 1956 will be dismantled into their 4000 individual parts and examined there.
