In the scenario of the exercise it is assumed that a severe storm situation with heavy precipitation and storms will prevail in the area of the state capital Dresden as well as in the districts Bautzen and Saxon Switzerland-Osterzgebirge for several days. Around 5 p.m., an EC train with 300 passengers will be travelling towards Prague in the Elbe Valley, close to the border with the Czech Republic, where it will be hit by a landslide caused by persistent rainfall that has buried the track.
