At the moment, 149 special vehicles are being manufactured for the THW, followed by vehicles for the Berlin police and the Saxon police. Binz Ambulance- und Umwelttechnik GmbH, based in Ilmenau, took over the MAN Bus Modification Center and its employees in April of this year, thus saving the tradition-rich site in Plauen from final closure.
