Stock Photo - 28 April 2021, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Pasewalk: The call column of a call barrier stands in the railway experience centre Lokschuppen Pomerania. The museum has been closed for months due to the Corona protection measures. On the 40,000 square metre site with the historic locomotive shed from 1896, visitors could marvel at railway technology with several steam and diesel locomotives. The locomotive shed celebrates a special anniversary in 2021: It will be 125 years old. Whether and in what form it can be celebrated depends on the further development of the pandemic. With the opening of the railway line Berlin-Angermünde-Pasewalk in 1863, Pasewalk was connected to the railway network. In January 1896, the semi-circular locomotive shed went into operation together with twelve beam tracks. Photo: Jens Büttner/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Pasewalk/Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania/Germany
