Stock Photo - 28 May 2021, Brandenburg, Schwielowsee: The memorial stone for the fallen German soldiers in Afghanistan is transported to the Bundeswehr's ""Forest of Remembrance"". The 27-ton memorial stone stood in the centre of the grove of honour at Camp Marmal Mazar-e-Sharif, which was erected in 2007 on the initiative of Bundeswehr soldiers. When the mission in Afghanistan comes to an end, the original boulder will be transported to Germany and placed on the grounds of the ""Forest of Remembrance"" at the Bundeswehr's Operations Command.
