In preparation for the Germany Grand Prix (30 June - 2 July), the asphalt surface is being completely renewed in order to meet world motorcycle sport association (FIM) standards. In total around 50,000 square metres are being covered with 4000 cubic metres of new asphalt. Additionally, parts of the curbs are being renewed or adjusted. The building works, which will include changes to buildings and pit stops, will cost about 3.8 million euros.
