The 6.50-meter-high plant, also known as the Tea Rose of Winter with its double flowers up to 10 centimeters in size, is said to have been planted in the 18th century by Count von Einsiedel. The botanical rarity is the second oldest north of the Alps in Europe after the famous Pillnitz camellia and can be seen with about 40 other different camellia varieties every weekend until the end of March.
