Stock Photo - Scientists need only a few minutes to scan a replica of the bust of Nefertiti with this worldwide unique prototype of a special 3-D scanner at the Fraunhofer Institute in Darmstadt, Germany, 03 December 2013. Two computer controlled ""touch bows"" capture the fine details with the aid of digital cameras without ever touching the sculpture. In the future, the 3d scans will be usefull for the museum in the future to digitalize the artifact and to produce 3D printed replicas.
