Designed by Aerojet-General for the United States Air Force, the large sub surface concrete cylinder measures 53 ft. in diameter and penetrate 177 ft. into the ground. The development constructed to takes heavy payloads of the future is capable of absorbing delivery stresses of up to 3 million pounds of thrust.
