It sis to be erected over her grave near the mar-et place in Benin. The sculptor is Mr. John Danford, who is the British Council's Regional Director in the Western Province of Nigeria. He is working on the statue which is 6ft. tall - in A Chelsea studio. It is to be cast in bronze.
