The Australian International Rugby League Star, Bobby Lulham, photographed at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, where he was admitted suffering from the effects of thallium poison. Detectives investigating the mystery believe an attempt was made to murder Lulham by placing the poison in a glass of beer. They are hindered however, by the apparent absence of a motive. Lulham, young, happily married and a crowd pleasing star, has told the police that as far as he knows he has no enemies. He is now progressing satisfactorily and is expected to leave hospital shortly. (Credit Image: © Keystone Press Agency/Keystone USA via ZUMAPRESS.com)
