Stock Photo - ´Cryolophosaurus dinosaur. Artwork of Cryolophosaurus, a carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Antarctica during the early Jurassic period, 196 to 190 million years ago. It was about 6 metres in length. The region that is now Antarctica was further north during this period and had a warmer climate. The animal´s distinctive crest was probably used for display, for example during mating or competition for territory. The lights seen in the sky are the aurora australis, the southern equivalent of the aurora borealis (Northern lights). It is caused by charged particles from the Sun interacting with the upper atmosphere.
