Stock Photo - Fraser Island is the largest ´all sand´ island in the world. Located off the coast of Harvey Bayn on the east coast, Fraser is an australian preserve and World Herritage Site abounding with relatively natural and undisturbed wildlife, landscape, and crystal clear fresh water lakes. Visitation to the island is very visited and is best discovered on a camping safari. Lake McKenzie is the most well known freshwater lake on the island. It´s crystal clear waters are caused by an abundant reservoir of freshwater held under the island by rock formations on the ocean floor. Backpackers enjoy the sun on it´s white sand beaches and swim with turtles in its turquoise waters.
